‘Drawing Sounds’ Interactive Harp Workshops
Pupils enjoy a mesmerising live harp concert and respond to the sounds by creating original new artworks, poems and stories all inspired by the changing moods and movement in the music.
Sessions promote creativity and practice mindfulness to support child mental health, and also align with the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2 in Music, Art and English.

Harp music sampler
Mark visited Holland Junior school to provide a live harp workshop. The children were fascinated by the instrument and it was wonderful for them to experience the sound and visuals of the harp which is so rare nowadays. Each child created beautiful artwork inspired by the varied pieces that were played and the older children also produced some creative writing. It was such a lovely mindful experience, the children were free to draw or write whatever the music inspired them to. Thank you to Mark and his harp.
Elaine Osborne, Music Lead Holland Junior School March 2025

We were delighted to welcome Mark to our school to lead harp workshops for our Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children. The sessions were engaging, fun, and thoughtfully tailored to each age group. The children particularly enjoyed drawing along to the music, recognising familiar tunes, and even trying their hand at playing the harp themselves. It was a wonderfully creative and memorable experience that sparked curiosity and joy in music for all involved and was a superb start to our Arts Week. Thank you, Mark!
